The Paradox Committee would like to offer resources and ideas to help youth groups across the province raise the necessary funds to attend the 2017 Paradox Conference.
Our goal is to see your youth group registration costs diminished, so that your students can have the opportunity to be a part of our conference!
Here are some ideas that you can do throughout the year to help with the costs:
January: Chocolate Bar Sale ($1 each)
February: Spaghetti dinner for your church. Charge an admission fee and collect those funds for registration costs.
March: Visit perfection.ca – Where you can set up a fundraising campaign for members of the community to see.
April: Yard Work Help: Church goers can “hire” a group of students (2-3 people) to do yard work/ mowing the lawn etc. and give a sum of money for the hours worked. This sum of money would go towards their registration costs.
May: Sponsor a Student – By taking up special offerings, and encouraging congregants to give to students in need.
June: Hot Dog Lunch – After your Sunday service,
July: Car Wash – at a local gas station (make sure to confirm with your borough’s zoning for car washes)
September: Potluck Meal: Church goers can contribute dishes and charge an admission price to help with registration costs for the Paradox Conference.
October: Bread Sale: Go to your local bakeries for donations and then resell the bread at church
November: Raffle: Can be done either in the church or in the community, prize value must be $999 or less (to respect the rules and regulations of Quebec lotteries)
December: Gift Giving: Tell teens to ask for their registration costs to be paid as their Christmas present.
